Introduction

Swanton Morley VC Primary School is a very successful Church of England school dedicated to meeting the needs of all its children.  Our aim is for our children to work hard, enjoy themselves and learn through a wide and varied curriculum that provides real life context, clallenges and experiences.  This learning also goes beyond the curriculum; it enables the children to develop into self-confident, well-motivated individuals who have the ability to make really significant and positive contributions to society.

As parents you have an essential role in your child’s education, working in partnership with the school and supporting its aims and objectives.  At the centre of this partnership is a dialogue between home and school so that there is good communication, not just when there are concerns, but also when there are successes to be celebrated.

Starting at a new school can be a worrying time for both children (whatever their age) and parents; here at Swanton Morley we ensure that settling in is a happy, friendly and seamless process allowing children to quickly find their feet and quickly progress with their learning.

Swanton Morley Primary School has a close relationship with the British Army providing education for service children. This relationship has been long established and our school is used to children arriving and leaving, sometimes at short notice.  The movement of families to and from the area is very well catered for; experienced and supportive staff are the foundation of this school and we understand the implications of being a service child.  Our aim is for all families, whatever their background, to feel comfortable, safe and fully engaged in their children’s education as part of the school community.
